Cover image for job ad Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and operationally minded Operations Manager to join our growing team in New York. This is a unique opportunity to be the operational backbone of DB Journey’s North American business, managing our 3PL partnership, driving sales operations execution, and leading the implementation of key systems that will scale our US presence.

In this role, you will own the day-to-day relationship with our US-based 3PL partner, manage the B2B order book, and play a central role in establishing EDI connections with our largest retail accounts. You will develop these functions in-house as part of a system-driven, scalable operation. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of end-to-end processes, and brings hands-on experience with ERP systems and EDI integration.

This is a hybrid role combining 3PL and warehouse management with sales operations and fulfillment — ideal for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a tangible impact on a growing brand’s US operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3PL & Warehouse Management (NRI)
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with our US 3PL partner, acting as primary contact for all operational matters.
  • Monitor and enforce SLAs for order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and inventory management.
  • Oversee inbound receiving, warehousing, outbound shipping, and returns processing.
  • Validate invoices against contracts and manage cost performance vs budget.

Sales Operations & Order Management

  • Manage the US B2B order book — order entry, confirmations, allocation, and processing in our ERP system.
  • Coordinate shipping windows and fulfillment priorities with NRI to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Support Finance with billing data, credit checks, and invoice accuracy for US accounts.
  • Take over and professionalize back-office tasks currently handled by an external sales agent.

Retailer Compliance & Customer Service

  • Manage vendor compliance requirements for US retail accounts, including routing guides, labeling, and ASN.
  • Monitor and minimize chargebacks through proactive compliance management.
  • Provide US retailers with timely updates on order status and issue resolution.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with the global Sales Operations team in Norway to align US processes with global standards.
  • Partner with IT on ERP and EDI implementation and ongoing system improvements.
  • Coordinate with the European Operations & 3PL Manager on shared best practices.
  • Collaborate with the US sales team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or sales operations, preferably in consumer products or e-commerce.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and EDI - experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a significant plus.
  • Experience managing 3PL relationships, including SLA enforcement, cost management, and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with B2B order management processes, retailer compliance (routing guides, chargebacks, ASN), and order-to-cash workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data across multiple systems.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills - comfortable working across time zones with teams in the US and Europe.
  • Organized, self-driven, and comfortable taking ownership in a lean, fast-moving organization.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to build processes from the ground up.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to work with a passionate and international team.
  • A dynamic, fast-paced work environment where your input makes a real impact.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Employee discounts on Db products.
  • A supportive culture that values work-life balance with flexibility, and understanding to help you perform your best both inside and outside of work.
